With plenty of seating and ample seating on the lawn, it's one of Charlotte's best outdoor concert halls. Oh, and did we mention the horizon? The Bojangles Coliseum is home to the Charlotte Checkers, a minor league hockey team and the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL. Standing since 1955, the site was originally known as Charlotte Coliseum. At just under half the size of the Spectrum Center, the Bojangles Coliseum offers an equally incredible concert experience in the style of a stadium, with several renowned artists who have visited it over the years.
Designed to incorporate many of the elements of The Original Fillmore in San Francisco, The Fillmore Charlotte is located in the AvidXchange music factory and offers incredible concert experiences. The PNC Music Pavilion, located near the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, first opened on July 4, 1991. Opened in 1969 and still popular today, it's exactly the toughest type of music venue you'd expect to host Nirvana, before MTV fame, in the early 90s.
